Yoltzin working on her Chinampa

A Chinampa is a type of Aztec farm in which crops are grown alongside a river.

Yoltzin owned a Flower Chinampa which she worked at. Although the pay wasn't great, she managed to support her family on the Chinampa and garnered many lasting friendships with the locals she sold her inventory to. Unutterably her children, Ollin and Tonatiuh, both died in a boating accident in the Chinampa, leaving Yoltzin to go mad from the grief. Chinampa's would continue to be used by the Citizens of Xochimilco years after her death. Kika knew the local Chinampa's like the back of he hand.
