No es Serio este Cementerio (in english This Graveyard is not Serious) is a song by the Spanish singer José María Cano, for the Mecano group. An interpretation of this song was included in the soundtrack of La Leyenda de la Nahuala.

La Leyenda de la NahualaEdit

When Leo and Xóchitl go to Teodora's room, she is singing the chorus of the song out of tune, while playing an old piano.

La Leyenda del Charro NegroEdit

In the last scene, when the ghosts return to the Manor, Teodora begins to play her piano while singing the chorus of the song as she did in La Nahuala, while her friends celebrate and the screen shows a panoramic view of the city of Puebla.

Lyrics Edit

Spanish English
[Teodora]
Chichi, ¡no te despegues de mí!
[Xóchitl]
Teodora, qué oscuro está el cementerio...
[Teodora]
Súper miedo...
[Xóchitl]
¿Y si mejor cantamos?
[Teodora]
No, bájale dos rayitas a tu volúmen.
[Xóchitl]
Bueno... [risas]
[Xóchitl]
Colgado del cielo,
[Teodora]
¡Colgado del cielo!
[Xóchitl]
por doce cipreses
[Teodora]
Mira, mira...
[Xóchitl]
doce apóstoles de verde,
velan doce meses.
[Teodora]
¡Pobrecitos!
[Xóchitl]
A la tapia en ruinas
[Teodora]
¡Monstruosa!
[Xóchitl]
que lo delimita,
le han quitado algunas piedras
para hacer la ermita.
[Teodora]
¿La qué?
[Xóchitl]
Tiene mi cementerio una fosa común
[Teodora]
[Teodora]
¡Sola, estoy muy sola!
[Xóchitl]
Que los muertos aquí
la pasamos muy bien
[Xóchitl y Teodora]
¡entre flores de colores!
[Xóchitl]
y los viernes y tal si en la fosa no hay plan
nos vestimos y salimos,
[Xóchitl y Teodora]
para dar una vuelta (oh oh oh)
sin pasar de la puerta eso sí (oh oh oh).
[Xóchitl]
Que los muertos aquí
es donde tienen que estar,
[Teodora]
¡Ni modo!
[Xóchitl]
y el cielo por mí
se puede esperar.
[Teodora]
Un ratito nada más.
[Xóchitl]
No es serio este cementerio.
[Teodora]
Pues adiós eh, besos.
[Xóchitl]
No es serio este cementerio.
[Teodora]
Besos, besitos.
[Xóchitl]
No es serio este cementerio.
Teodora, qué oscuro está el cementerio...
[Teodora]
Súper miedo...
[Teodora]
Chichi, do not get away from me!
[Xóchitl]
Teodora, how dark is the graveyard...
[Teodora]
Super fear...
[Xóchitl]
And if we better sing?
[Teodora]
No, turn down your volume.
[Xóchitl]
Okay... [laughs]
[Xóchitl]
Hanging in the Heaven,
[Teodora]
Hanging in the Heaven!
[Xóchitl]
by twelve cypresses
[Teodora]
Looks good...
[Xóchitl]
twelve green-clad disciples,
watch over twelve months.
[Teodora]
Poor!
[Xóchitl]
From the crumbling wall
[Teodora]
Monstrous!
[Xóchitl]
that surrounds it,
some rocks has been removed
to make the Hermitage.
[Teodora]
What?
[Xóchitl]
My graveyard has a common grave
[Teodora]
A common grave!
[Xóchitl]
where we Heroes of Cuba rest,
in the Sundays the blacks won't let us sleep
as they often sing Missa Luba.
[Xóchitl and Teodora]
And the deceased here have such a great time
between colorful flowers,
and in Fridays and such when we have no plans
we dress up, and go out,
to have a little walk (oh oh oh)
without crossing the doors, of course (oh oh oh).
For the dead
here have a place to belong,
and Heaven for me
can wait a bit more.
[Teodora]
And the deceased here have such a super nice time, between colorful flowers!
[Xóchitl]
This graveyard
[Teodora]
Is no common either!
[Xóchitl]
is no common either,
for the tombstones at the end
are made of pink marble.
[Teodora]
Same as my super bedroom!
[Xóchitl]
And while there are nice tombs,
the niches are quite better
[Teodora]
They say that, of course, right?
[Xóchitl]
because they are cheaper
and have almost no bugs (ugh).
And in regal fashion, there is,
the familiar pantheon
of the Dukes of Medina & Luengo....
[Teodora]
Villavicencio!
[Xóchitl]
while in the Final Judgement,
it won't make any difference,
here you have people of ancient lineage.
[Teodora]
We are super nice!
[Xóchitl and Teodora]
And the deceased here have such a great time
between colorful flowers,
and in Fridays and such when we have no plans
we dress up, and go out,
to have a little walk (oh oh oh)
without crossing the doors, of course (oh oh oh).
For the dead
here have a place to belong,
and Heaven for me
can wait a bit more.
[Teodora]
Alone, I'm very lonely!
[Xóchitl]
And the deceased here
have such a great time
[Xóchitl y Teodora]
between colorful flowers!
[Xóchitl]
and in Fridays and such when we have no plans
we dress up, and go out,
[Xóchitl y Teodora]
to have a little walk (oh oh oh)
without crossing the doors, of course (oh oh oh).
[Xóchitl]
For the dead
here have a place to belong,
[Teodora]
Either way!
[Xóchitl]
and Heaven for me
can wait a bit more.
[Teodora]
A little while.
[Xóchitl]
This graveyard is not serious.
[Teodora]
Well hey goodbye, kisses
[Xóchitl]
This graveyard is not serious.
[Teodora]
Kisses, little kisses
[Xóchitl]
This graveyard is not serious.
Teodora, how dark is the graveyard...
[Teodora]
Super fear...
